Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher for a lovely independent school in Newark Nottinghamshire starting April 2025 or September 2025. This role is fulltime only. Interviews will be held as soon as possible.

SEN Teacher Responsibilities

  • Plan prepare and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Implement effective strategies to support students in their learning and personal development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress providing constructive feedback and setting clear targets.
  • Create a positive inclusive and safe classroom environment that encourages students confidence and growth.
  • Work closely with the SENCo and other staff members to support the delivery of personalised learning plans.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians to update them on progress and address any concerns.
  • Participate in school meetings professional development and school activities as required.

SEN Teacher Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs.
  • A teamoriented approach and flexibility to work collaboratively.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development in SEN education.
