Job Description

SEN Teacher Immediate Start

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking for a new opportunity A fantastic Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Waltham Forest is seeking an SEN Teacher to join their team immediately. This role is ideal for an educator who is committed to making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.

Location: Waltham Forest London
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: MPS/UPS (Outer London) SEN Allowance

This inclusive and supportive SEN school caters to children with a range of special educational needs including autism (ASC) ADHD speech and language difficulties and moderate learning difficulties (MLD). The school provides a nurturing and structured environment that allows every child to thrive.

With small class sizes specialist support staff and a collaborative leadership team this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in SEN education.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher you will:
Plan and deliver engaging differentiated lessons tailored to students individual needs.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Work closely with SEN Teaching Assistants therapists and support staff.
Implement EHCP (Education Health & Care Plan) targets and track student progress.
Use a variety of teaching strategies including sensorybased and communicationfocused approaches.
Collaborate with parents carers and external professionals to support each childs development.

What Were Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience working with children with SEN ideally in a specialist setting.
A patient empathetic and childcentred approach.
Knowledge of SEND strategies including PECS Makaton or TEACCH (desirable but not essential).
A strong commitment to inclusive education and differentiated learning.
