Project Engineer Civil Engineering (Land Development PE Licensed)
Location: Atlanta GA or Newport Beach CA
License Requirement: Professional Engineer (PE) U.S. Civil Engineering Degree Required
About the Role
Our client is seeking a PELicensed Project Engineer specializing in land development to join our growing team in Atlanta GA or Newport Beach CA. This role will focus on the design engineering and management of land development projects including commercial mixeduse and infrastructure developments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site planning grading stormwater management permitting and civil design while working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of land development projects from concept design to final construction documents.
- Develop grading drainage and stormwater management plans in compliance with local state and federal regulations.
- Oversee site planning permitting and entitlement processes.
- Collaborate with architects contractors and government agencies to ensure seamless project execution.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to prepare designs and documentation.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget while meeting regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license REQUIRED
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering from a U.S.accredited institution
- 5 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on land development
- Strong expertise in site design grading drainage and stormwater management
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software
- Indepth knowledge of zoning laws permitting processes and local regulations
- Excellent project management problemsolving and communication skills
