Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our hospitals inpatient pharmacy team responsible for the preparation and dispensing of medications to inpatients and outpatients. This role ensures safe and effective medication therapy management while collaborating with healthcare providers to improve patient outcomes. The position is part of a bargaining unit and requires onsite work during evening shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare verify and dispense medications and pharmaceutical supplies for inpatient and outpatient care.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication therapy.
- Monitor patient medication regimens and provide clinical recommendations.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Ensure accurate medication documentation within hospital records.
- Utilize Epic or other pharmacy systems for order entry and processing.
Required Qualifications:
BS in Pharmacy & Current NY State Pharmacist License (or ability to obtain).
2 years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
Ability to work onsite during evening shifts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Residency training experience.
1 years of Epic system experience.
Retail pharmacy experience.
