- Prepare detailed engineering analyses schedules technical reports etc.
- Design structural engineering projects together with CAD designers.
- Attend meetings and communicate with other civil engineering disciplines and outside consultants or agencies to advance structural projects from conceptual level to final design.
- Manage all aspects of contract administration which includes writing change requests invoices and progress payments and maintain project budget and costs.
- Perform inservice safety inspections and load ratings of existing bridges.
- Mentor and oversee the work of less experienced structural engineer team members.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Environmental Engineering Agricultural and Biological Systems Engineering Bioproducts and Biosystem Engineering or related Engineering field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the design and construction of structures.
- ND Professional Engineer license or the ability to obtain the license within 6 months required.
- Experience operating MicroStation OpenRoads preferred (but not required).
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Working knowledge of project team roles and responsibilities.
- Working knowledge of applicable federal state and local codes.
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with groups both internally and externally.
