Job Description
Process engineering position focused on the manufacturing of the Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) photocathode structure. Responsibilities include:
- Optimizing manufacturing processes and equipment to reduce defects in the growth structures minimize cost and reduce equipment downtime.
- Working with Operations group to manage process improvement defect analysis and technician training.
- Working in cross functional team settings to minimize or eliminate safety quality delivery and productivity problems.
- Conducting failure analysis of components to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
- Increase image intensifier performance (Photoresponse spectral response etc. as part of crossfunctional team.
Qualifications :
- Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
- BS in Chemical Mechanical or Materials Engineering or equivalent experience with critical thinking and problemsolving skills
- 3 years of technical experience or academic research in thin film deposition or related field
- Effective analytical and communication skills
- Proficiency in statistical analysis techniques and SPC
- Proficiency with designing structured experimentation
- Ability to work and collaborate well with others with a range of technical capabilities from process operators to production supervisors to engineering colleagues
Preferred:
- Experience with Aixtron deposition systems
- Six Sigma certification
- Experience writing complex MS Access queries
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software; Minitab JMP SAS
- Ability to collaborate with all facets of the Night Vision organization
- Comfortable with selfinitiating business and professional improvements
- Ability to support the organizational culture and build morale
