Our Mobility vertical mobile team is at the helm of creating affordable and premium Transport in the Grab app. Our mission lies in enhancing the booking experience and improve our service to consumers. Get to Know the Role
We are looking for an experienced Android Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will report into the Software Engineering Manager Transport and you will work on the Android passenger app that benefits millions of consumers every day. Awaiting you are exhilarating product ideas and engrossing engineering challenges where you will be one of the first to experience your own work within the Grab app!
This role is onsite based in our Petaling Jaya Malaysia office.
The Critical Tasks You will Perform
- You will work with Product/Design/Analytics teams to understand business problems and requirements
- You will collaborate with Android/iOS/Backend/QA Engineers to propose and implement technical solutions that are scalable robust and address the actual problems.
- You will write code that is reusable scalable and testable. Make sure features are delivered with high quality.
- You will iIdentify pain points and inefficiencies in the codebase system and process propose and items to address them.
Qualifications :
What Skills You will Need
- You have at least 4 years of Android development experience
- Proficiency in Kotlin/Rxjava
- You are familiar with Android system and programming paradigms such as OOP and TDD.
- You have experience of several architectural approaches including clean architecture MVP MVVM and Clean Architecture
- You have experience building maintainable and testable code bases including API design unit testing and UI testing techniques.
