Job Description
- Pitch news stories to media outlets including TV print digital and radio
- Establish and develop relationships with members of the press
- Draft written messaging materials including opeds press releases and talking points
- Help manage accounts
- Understand and manage complex issue campaigns
- Devise and execute strategic public relations plans

Qualifications :
The successful candidate will be selfmotivated creative energetic and highly organized with great interpersonal skills. Furthermore the candidate must be able to demonstrate solid written and verbal communication skills and have experience developing communications plans press materials pitches opeds and blog postings. Finally it is essential that the individual selected for this position be able to quickly establish rapport credibility trust and respect throughout the organization and be viewed as a highly collaborative team player.
The ideal candidate would possess the following skills:
- Complex project management skills and work within deadlines
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently
- Have and maintain strong existing reporter relationships and a willingness to pitch them stories
- Ability to prepare and present complex materials or issues before a wide variety of audiences
