We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Wellness Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team in Southbury United States. This parttime position on the NOC(11pm7am) shift offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents while working in a supportive and professional environment.
- Monitor the health safety and wellbeing of all residents during night shifts
- Assist in medication administration and provide training to care staff
- Supervise care staff in accordance with current state regulations and community policies
- Maintain clinical quality assurance in line with federal state and local standards
- Conduct thorough resident assessments and document findings accurately
- Promote the highest degree of service to our residents while embodying our organizations mission
- Collaborate with the Health and Wellness Director (RN) to ensure comprehensive care
- Respond promptly to residents needs and emergencies during night hours
- Contribute to the creation of a calm and restful environment for residents during nighttime
Qualifications :
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a current LPN license
- At least 2 years of experience in longterm care assisted living home health or hospital setting preferred
- Experience working with residents with Alzheimers or other related dementias is highly desirable
- Proven ability to work night shifts and maintain alertness and efficiency
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to nursing practices and resident care
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Windows Outlook Excel) with the ability to learn new applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents families and team members
- Physical stamina to stand walk and perform tasks requiring fine and gross motor skills
- Ability to lift or carry weights up to 50 lbs and support residents using proper body mechanics
- Demonstrated empathy patience and commitment to providing highquality personcentered care
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and resident needs during night shifts
