Job Description
Radiation Therapist FullTime $12000 SignOn Bonus!
Join our team as a Radiation Therapist and make a meaningful impact in cancer care. We have fulltime opportunities available at multiple locations each offering a $12000 signon bonus.
Locations & Schedules:
- Lynn Cancer Institute Boynton Beach 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (FullTime)
- Key West FullTime Shift Varies
- Miami Cancer Institute FullTime Shift Varies
SignOn Bonus: $12000!
Schedule: Fulltime
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment
- Explain treatment plans and procedures to patients addressing any concerns or questions they may have
- Position patients and align equipment to ensure accurate treatment delivery
- Monitor patients during treatment for any adverse reactions or unusual responses
- Maintain detailed records of treatments administered and patient progress
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists medical physicists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Perform quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety
- Adhere to all safety protocols and radiation protection guidelines
- Participate in continuing education to stay current with advancements in radiation therapy techniques and technologies
- Assist in the training and mentoring of new radiation therapy staff members
Qualifications :
Requirements:
Associates or Bachelors degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program
ARRT Certification (T) in Radiation Therapy
Current Florida State Licensure as a Radiation Therapist
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in radiation therapy preferred
Proficiency in operating linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment
Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and procedures
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Demonstrated commitment to patient care and compassion
Physical ability to lift and position patients and stand for extended periods
Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
Willingness to participate in continuing education and professional development
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced certification in specialized radiation therapy techniques (e.g. SBRT IMRT)
Experience with treatment planning software
Familiarity with quality assurance procedures in radiation oncology
