We are seeking a meticulous and detailoriented Remote Proofreader to join our team and ensure that all content meets our high standards.
Job Summary:
The Remote Proofreader will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and professionalism of our written materials. This position requires a keen eye for detail a strong understanding of grammar and punctuation and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. The Proofreader will be responsible for reviewing and correcting various documents including marketing materials patient communications internal memos website content and more.
Responsibilities:
Proofread and edit written materials for accuracy in grammar spelling punctuation syntax and style.
Ensure consistency in formatting terminology and brand voice across all documents.
Verify factual accuracy and identify any discrepancies or inconsistencies in content.
Collaborate with content creators to provide constructive feedback and ensure necessary revisions are made.
Maintain a style guide and ensure adherence to established guidelines.
Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
Utilize proofreading tools and software to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Review and correct website content to maintain a professional and errorfree online presence.
Work closely with the marketing and communications teams to ensure all materials align with company standards.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a proofreader or editor preferably in a healthcare or related field.
Exceptional attention to detail and a strong understanding of grammar and punctuation.
Proficiency in using proofreading tools and software (e.g. Grammarly PerfectIt).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and timemanagement skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
Bachelors degree in English Journalism Communications or a related field preferred.
US Citizenship or Green Card Holder required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in the healthcare industry.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy.
Experience with content management systems (CMS).
