About the role

Are you ready to take the lead in a dynamic and innovative environment We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and experienced Leading Hand to join our team at our Mangere manufacturing site. Reporting to the Supervisor youll play a crucial role in managing the daily operations of our production area.

This is a handson permanent fulltime role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday from 6:45am to 3:15pm. If youre passionate about making a difference and thrive in a fastpaced setting we want to hear from you!

On a daytoday basis you will:

  • Monitor and follow the production schedule ensuring parts and materials are available.
  • Plan ahead to ensure the right selection and quantity of parts are ready for each job.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure timely job completion.
  • Monitor and recommend overtime requirements to the Cell Manager/Factory Manager.
  • Maintain quality standards and perform periodic checks on key operations.
  • Ensure completed work is handled and packed properly to avoid damage.
  • Monitor and report staffing level requirements and assist with training and induction of new staff.
  • Ensure adherence to the companys Quality Assurance Programme (ISO9001 and maintain cleanliness and safety in the department.
  • Drive and sustain the 5S program and suggest process improvements.
  • Train staff in the proper use of personal safety equipment and ensure safe work practices are followed.
  • Lead the team in the absence of the Supervisor.
