Join our team as a Machine Operator on our subassembly line! In this role you will press and expand coil fins and coil hairpins and bend completed coils to meet engineered designs and specifications before brazing and assembly in the manufacture of air conditioners. Reporting to a supportive supervisor this busy handson position includes the following tasks:
- Determine the size of coils and adjust tooling.
- Select appropriate dies for pressing and expansion tasks.
- Adjust tooling for bending tasks.
- Load programs into the Logic Processor.
- Select jobs from the job sheet.
- Identify and crosscheck drawings with fin spacing and fin length.
- Measure the length and fin space of coils.
- Make adjustments to meet specifications.
- Change tooling to suit specific requirements.
- Read and interpret technical drawings including circuits headers and hairpin end plates.
Qualifications :
You will have experience and skillsets in the following:
- Experience with machines for pipe work cutting and bending
- Ability to understand drawings specifying pipe length and diameter
- Computer literacy for programming machines
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and dimensions
- Strong understanding of safe work practices
- Good team player with reliable attendance
