About the PE Department:
The PE department is a dynamic and supportive team with a shared commitment to providing a highquality physical education for all our students. We offer a diverse and engaging curriculum that covers a wide range of sports and physical activities and we encourage participation in competitive sports and extracurricular clubs.
About the Role:
- Teach PE across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the possibility of teaching at GCSE and A Level depending on experience and interest.
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
- Coach school sports teams and lead extracurricular sports clubs for girls.
- Organize and participate in sports competitions and events.
- Promote healthy lifestyles and physical fitness among girls.
- Contribute to the departments curriculum development and resource creation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice.
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds QTS or equivalent.
- Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Physical Education.
- Demonstrates a passion for sports and coaching with a particular interest in inspiring and empowering girls through sport.
- Has strong communication interpersonal and classroom management skills.
- Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for PE and relevant coaching qualifications.
- Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
