Accountant
An innovative company in the medical technology sector is looking for a detailoriented Accountant to join their team. This role is responsible for managing the full accounting function up to trial balance supporting financial reporting and ensuring statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage financial transactions and reconciliations as well as reporting up to trial balance.
- Reconcile and maintain bank transactions credit cards and intercompany accounts.
- Oversee monthend procedures including VAT reporting and payroll processing.
- Handle debtors and creditors management ensuring accurate invoicing and reconciliations.
- Assist with inventory management financial reporting and audits.
- Maintain statutory compliance and update company records with regulatory authorities.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies and quality management system (QMS) guidelines.
Requirements:
- B.Com Accounting Degree or related financial qualification (Honours is advantageous).
- 1 year postarticles experience OR 3 years of experience without articles.
- Solid knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Pastel/Xero).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial accounting principles.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance audit processes and inventory management.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities.
