Job Description

Our client based in Woodstock Cape Town is looking for a bookkeeper to join their team.

  • Capture delivery notes and supplier invoices
  • Supplier account reconciliation
  • Material cost report and creditor accrual account reconciliation
  • Debtors invoices (Small works only)
  • Debtors Collections (Small works only)
  • Cash Book capturing and reconciliation (only for smaller property companies)
  • Prepare and capture Petty Cash and expense claims
  • Journals
  • Stock capturing
  • Fuel and credit card capturing
  • Preparing salary employees time allocations
  • Wage loan reconciliation
  • POPI Draft Data Processing Agreements send to respective parties and save signed documents.
  • Assisting with answering the phone
  • Assist with maintenance bookings


Requirements

  • Minimum of Matric with relevant certificate in Bookkeeping or Finance will be advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Sound interpersonal and communication (telephone and writing) skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Works well under pressure
  • Operate effectively in a team environment
  • Advanced computer skills especially MS Excel
  • Knowledge of working on EJM or Buildsmart accounting software (advantageous)
  • Experience in the construction industry advantageous
