The Assistant IT Manager (Server Network and Storage) is responsible for overseeing the
organization's IT infrastructure ensuring the availability security and efficiency of servers
networks and storage systems. This role involves strategic planning system administration
network management data storage solutions and security compliance while leading a team
of IT professionals.
Server Administration & Management:
Oversee and maintain Windows and Linuxbased servers (onprem & cloud).
Ensure high availability redundancy and failover of critical applications.
Manage Active Directory (AD) DNS DHCP and Group Policies.
Implement server virtualization (VMware HyperV Proxmox).
Conduct regular server patching upgrades and hardening.
Network Infrastructure & Security
Oversee LAN WAN SDWAN VPN and WiFi networks.
Manage firewalls routers and switches (Cisco Fortinet Juniper Aruba).
Ensure network segmentation VLANs and IP address management.
Implement Zero Trust NAC (Network Access Control) and IDS/IPS.
Monitor network performance troubleshoot issues and optimize bandwidth.
Storage & Backup Solutions
Manage SAN (Storage Area Network) NAS (Network Attached Storage) and cloud storage.
Implement RAID configurations storage provisioning and data tiering.
Deploy backup & disaster recovery (DR) solutions (Veeam Commvault Rubrik).
Ensure data replication & failover strategies for business continuity.
Optimize storage performance and manage lifecycle policies.
Cloud Infrastructure & Hybrid IT Management
Oversee hybrid cloud solutions (AWS Azure Google Cloud VMware Cloud).
Manage cloudbased virtual machines storage and networking.
Ensure cost optimization & resource scaling in cloud environments.
Implement cloud security policies and best practices.
IT Security & Compliance
Ensure security policies align with ISO 27001 NIST PCIDSS and GDPR.
Manage firewalls endpoint protection and security audits.
Implement SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) solutions.
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
Team Leadership & Vendor Management
Lead and mentor network engineers system admins and IT support staff.
Develop SOPs documentation and IT policies for the team.
Manage IT budgets vendor contracts and SLAs.
Coordinate with thirdparty vendors for hardware/software upgrades.
