Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer Degree Apprentice you will provide direct technical support to our UK Sales and Service business. You will be involved in product selection and analysis supporting John Cranes mechanical wet seal wet seal system and flexible element power transmission coupling products from order through to delivery and into service. With guidance you will learn to apply existing products to meet customer needs and support various engineering activities.

This role is based from our Manchester site working Monday to Friday normal office hours.

Key Responsibilities


Qualifications :

  • 5 GCSEs. Grade 5 or above to include English and Maths
  • A minimum of two ALevels at grade B or above including a mathsbased subject and a science technology or engineering subject or
  • An Engineering BTEC Level 3 with at least 120 credits at DM level or above. CTEC and TLevels also considered or
  • EAL Diploma in an engineeringbased subject at D (Distinction) level
  • Enthusiasm for mechanical engineering and a desire to learn.
  • Basic understanding of engineering tools such as 2D/3D CAD design and drafting Finite Element Analysis and engineering calculations.
  • Mechanically minded with an appreciation for how components within a product interact.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • The drive and appetite to work and learn at the same time.
