Job Description

Job Title: Certified CPD Technician Endoscope Reprocessing

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Certified CPD Technician specializing in Endoscope Reprocessing to join our team. This role involves ensuring the proper decontamination inspection assembly packaging sterilization and inventory management of flexible endoscopes and related surgical supplies. The ideal candidate will maintain compliance with manufacturer instructions facility standards and infection control guidelines while ensuring optimal functionality of endoscopic equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reprocess endoscopes according to manufacturer and industry standards (AAMI SGNA AORN CDC).
  • Maintain inventory and functionality of endoscopic and reprocessing equipment.
  • Perform safety checks cleaning disinfecting and calibration of instruments.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation requirements and departmental procedures.
  • Operate automated washers endoscope reprocessors and sterilizers efficiently.
  • Inspect and maintain accuracy of instrument trays and case cart needs.
  • Communicate workflow equipment issues and improvement ideas effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience:
    • Required: Experience with scope reprocessing.
    • Preferred: At least two (2) years of experience in scope reprocessing or central supply/O.R. processing.
  • Certifications:
    • Required: Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) within 18 months of hire.
    • Preferred: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT).

Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced highpressure environment with minimal supervision.
