What you will be doing:

  • Provide professional friendly and engaging service to all guests
  • Serve food and beverages accurately and on time ensuring quality and presentation meet standards
  • Take guest orders over the phone in a professional and courteous manner
  • Communicate effectively with guests addressing special dietary preferences concerns and requests
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of the menu and seasonal changes to offer suggestions
  • Efficiently pick up orders from the kitchen ensuring accuracy
  • Ensure guest rooms are left neat and tidy after delivery removing unused items
  • Follow all safety sanitation and service standards
  • Accurately process orders and payments ensuring correctness
  • Assist with menu inquiries offering informative suggestions
  • Undertake additional duties to contribute to team and guest experience success

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role we ask that you have:

  • Minimum of 1 year of Food & Beverage service experience
  • Serving It Right certificate required
  • Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous while focusing on guest needs
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment
  • Reliable responsible and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends and overnights as required
  • Experience with PointofSale Systems preferred (Micros Property Manager and Microsoft applications are an asset)

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): 

  • Constant standing and walking throughout the shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 20 lbs.
  • Frequent kneeling pushing pulling and lifting
  • Occasional ascending and descending ladders stairs and ramps

    Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
