Essential Skills and Experience:
- Paralegal Certificate or a Bachelors degree preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word PowerPoint Outlook Excel) Adobe Dropbox Filevine One Legal PACER and other database systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fastpaced environment.
- Detailoriented with the ability to prioritize tasks while managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent time management written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic selfmotivated and disciplined.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
- Spanishspeaking skills are a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
- Draft correspondence government claims pleadings and file documents in both State and Federal Courts.
- Assist attorneys with discovery including responding to and drafting discovery requests.
- Prepare and serve subpoenas.
- Oversee case management including scheduling meeting court deadlines and handling routine case matters independently.
- Request and manage medical records and billing information.
- Initiate and manage Medicare and MediCal claims.
- Maintain high accuracy in calendaring court deadlines and ensuring timely case filings.
- Manage and respond to Yelp leads.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings depositions and mediations.
- Some marketing experience is preferred but not required.
