SEN Teaching Assistant Welcoming Primary School Bromley
Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Nature: FullTime Permanent
Start: April 2025
Salary: Competitive based on experience
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bromley is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from April 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children with special educational needs helping them to thrive in a nurturing and structured environment.
Role Highlights:
- Fulltime permanent position at a welcoming primary school in Bromley
- Provide onetoone and small group support to children with SEN ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively
- Assist in adapting learning materials and classroom activities to meet the needs of individual students
- Work closely with teachers SENCOs and other staff to create an inclusive learning environment
- Support students with a range of needs including autism (ASC) speech and language difficulties and social emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges
- Encourage independence confidence and social development in children
Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children preferably in an SEN setting
- A patient empathetic and proactive approach to supporting students
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification) or willingness to undertake training
- Enhanced DBS check required
