About the Role:
A wellrespected Church of England secondary school in Croydon seeks a dedicated and inspiring History Teacher to join their thriving History department. This is a fulltime permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a supportive and faithbased learning environment. The History Teacher will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 with potential for Key Stage 5 teaching. The school has a strong Christian ethos.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan prepare and deliver engaging and challenging History lessons.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
- Assess student progress and provide regular feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student attainment.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that reflects the schools Christian values.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the History department.
- Contribute to the development of the History curriculum.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
- Adhere to all school safeguarding policies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching History at Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable).
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for History.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
