Role Highlights:
- Teach engaging Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
- Differentiate and adapt the curriculum to meet the specific needs of students with social emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges
- Build positive relationships with students to foster trust respect and engagement in learning
- Work alongside a dedicated team of staff including SEN professionals to provide holistic support for students
- Encourage students academic and personal growth through tailored teaching strategies
- Contribute to the inclusive and supportive ethos of the alternative provision
Experience & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential
- Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
- A passion for working with students who may have additional needs including SEMH
- Strong behavior management skills and a patient empathetic approach
- Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment for students with diverse needs
- Enhanced DBS check required
