This is a fulltime permanent position commencing in September 2025.

We encourage students to participate in concerts and performances both within the school and in the wider community.
About the Role:
- Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the possibility of teaching at GCSE and A Level depending on experience and interest.
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
- Use a range of teaching methods and resources including practical activities listening exercises and composition workshops to bring Music to life for students.
- Lead and direct school ensembles such as choirs bands and orchestras.
- Organize and participate in school concerts and performances providing students with opportunities to showcase their musical talents.
- Assess student progress set targets and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
- Contribute to the departments curriculum development and resource creation ensuring that our Music curriculum remains relevant and inspiring.
- Foster a love of Music in students encouraging them to explore different musical genres and develop their own musical voice.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Music education.
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds QTS or equivalent.
- Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Music.
- Demonstrates a passion for teaching Music and a commitment to student success.
- Has strong communication interpersonal and classroom management skills.
- Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for Music and relevant examination specifications.
- Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
