Job Description

Position: Year 5 Teacher

Location: A Catholic Primary School near Ealing London
Salary: Competitive dependent on experience
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Fulltime Permanent

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Year 5 teacher to join our school community and help our pupils achieve their full potential.

The Role:
As a Year 5 teacher at our Catholic school you will play an important role in nurturing the academic and spiritual development of your students. You will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners while ensuring that Catholic teachings and values are integrated into everyday learning. You will work closely with staff students and families to create a positive learning environment that encourages academic achievement and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver highquality engaging lessons in line with the Year 5 curriculum ensuring differentiation to meet all learners needs.
  • Integrate Catholic values and teachings into the curriculum fostering students spiritual moral and social development.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress providing timely feedback and support to help students reach their full potential.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that is rooted in respect kindness and inclusivity.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers providing regular updates on student progress and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve teaching practices share resources and create an inspiring learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in Key Stage 2.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies for Year 5.
  • A passion for Catholic education and an ability to integrate Catholic values into the classroom.
  • Excellent communication organisational and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • High expectations for student achievement and behaviour.
