Job Description
AZZ has an exciting 1st shift opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor at our Blacksburg South Carolina facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager you will coordinate and supervise the daytoday duties of the maintenance staff. Your primary duties will be to oversee the PM Program ensuring all equipment is up and running. Maintenance will include and require and understanding of electrical mechanical pneumatic principals. A general construction skill set is desired.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coaches and mentors maintenance staff and assists them to diagnose more complex problems with machinery or equipment problems.
- Inspects completed work to check that repairs have been completed correctly and that machinery and equipment conform to specifications and safety standards.
- Monitors the condition of maintenance equipment materials parts and tools that are used by maintenance workers in their daytoday activities.
- Trains new employees in the organizations operating procedures and standards.
- Counsels employees about workrelated issues and assists employees to correct jobskill deficiencies.
- Monitors employees work levels and reviews work performance.
Qualifications :
- 5 years related experience required.
- Electrical and Mechanical knowledge required.
- Experience with HV 480 electricity motors cranes hoists and forklifts strongly preferred.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
Minimum Education
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
