Journeyman Electrician – Permanent Placement
Location: Albuquerque New Mexico (National Travel Required Based in New Mexico)
Pay Rate: $32 $38 per hour
Employment Type: Fulltime Permanent Placement
Position Overview:
Great Basin Staffing LLC is seeking four highly skilled Journeyman Electricians for permanent placement to support Department of Energy (DOE) projects and other highprofile contracts. These roles require extensive commercial and industrial experience national travel availability and strong troubleshooting skills.
Candidates must have a Dixie Certification and be licensed through the New Mexico Construction Industries Division (JE98). This is an immediate need with positions open due to new contract awards and the termination of an underperforming electrician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Installations: Install and repair wiring fixtures and electrical equipment to meet project specifications and safety standards.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues ensuring minimal downtime for commercial and industrial projects.
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to local state and federal electrical codes including Dixie Certification requirements and Department of Energy safety protocols.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with other trades supervisors and project managers for timely highquality project completion.
- Travel Readiness: Candidates must be willing to travel nationally for project assignments.
Qualifications:
- 810 years of experience in commercial and industrial electrical work (sweet spot for hiring).
- Must hold a valid JE98 Journeyman Electrician License through the New Mexico Construction Industries Division or Dixie Certification (Required)
- Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills with a proven track record in complex electrical systems.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt quickly to new job sites and project conditions.
- Travel Requirement: Must be open to national travel for project assignments.
- Preferred Experience Range: 810 years.
