Job Description

Job Title: SharePoint Business Analyst
Location: Raleigh NC (Local candidates only)
Duration: 12 months (with possible extension)

Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled SharePoint Business Analyst to join their team in Raleigh NC. This role requires local candidates in the Triangle region of North Carolina who can attend occasional inoffice meetings (12 days per month). The selected candidate must be comfortable working remotely using their own equipment as a laptop will not be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between business and IT teams to analyze and document business requirements.
  • Design and test SharePoint and webbased content management solutions.
  • Develop and optimize SharePoint lists libraries and content types.
  • Evaluate and reengineer business processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Prepare clear and concise technical training materials and user documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with both business users and IT teams to ensure project alignment.
  • Utilize Microsoft Suite tools (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint Teams) for documentation and collaboration.
  • Adhere to the application development lifecycle and best practices.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • 5 years of experience as a SharePoint Business Analyst.
  • 5 years of experience in SharePoint design working with lists libraries and content types.
  • 5 years of experience in designing and testing SharePoint and webbased content management solutions.
  • 5 years of experience with business process evaluation and reengineering.
  • 5 years of experience writing technical training materials and user documentation.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills with excellent organizational and presentation abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills capable of explaining technical concepts to business users and vice versa.
  • Solid understanding of the application development life cycle.
  • Extensive experience designing Microsoft SharePoint solutions.




Highly Desired Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience with NCDOT transportation life cycle business processes.
  • 2 years of experience working in a SCRUM/Agile development environment.
  • 2 years of experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Azure DevOps.




Additional Notes:

  • No computer programming/coding will be performed in this position.
  • Candidates must provide their own equipment to remote into a virtual workspace.
