Job Overview
The CNC Machinist will be responsible for programming setting up and operating CNC lathes to manufacture precision parts according to specifications. This role requires strong problemsolving skills attention to detail and the ability to interpret blueprints GD&T specifications and quality control processes. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting machine and programming issues and ensuring production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision components.
- Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and GD&T requirements to determine machining processes.
- Conduct quality control inspections to verify tolerances and make necessary adjustments.
- Troubleshoot machine tooling and programming issues to maintain production efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on CNC lathe machines.
- Collaborate with team members to improve machining processes.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean organized work environment.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in CNC lathe programming and machining.
- Proficiency in CNC programming software such as PartMaker or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience with machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with 4th or 5th axis programming.
- Background in advanced machining techniques and process optimization.
- Familiarity with various CNC control systems.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced highprecision manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
