Job Description
The Applications Developer will join a dedicated team responsible for rewriting a legacy application. This role serves as a technical expert for the Departments Watercraft software applications developing new applications that align with functional and technical designs. The developer will fix and develop changes to applications proactively resolve complex issues and support production systems. Responsibilities include engaging with business analysts and stakeholders preparing technical documentation and creating deliverables according to the Software Development Lifecycle.

Skills
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages
- Experience with MSSQL and other database management systems

Responsibilities
- Rewrite legacy applications and develop new software solutions
- Analyze and resolve application issues in a timely manner
- Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to functional specifications
- Prepare technical documentation and specifications
- Create deliverables according to the Software Development Lifecycle
- Support production systems and respond to enduser service requests
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in application development
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or an Associates degree in Computer Science
- Working knowledge of multiple programming languages and database management systems
- Experience in an Agile work environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work collaboratively in teams

Experience Requirements
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in application development
- Familiarity with technologies such as C# MVC .Net Core and LINUX is preferred
- Experience with Asana project management software is a plus
