Your Mission in Funcom
As a Senior Dev QA Tester you will contribute to ensuring the quality of our games.You will evaluate and perform first pass QA testing on new features and content and provide early feedback to the development team report issues/bugs help developers with reproducing identifying and isolating bugs and work directly with the development team to bring each project to life and ensure highquality experiences for our players.
This is a critical position that requires a deep understanding of game mechanics attention to detail and effective communication with crossfunctional teams to deliver polished highquality games.
How you can have an impact in your position:
- Help maintain a good functionality of the game systems by developing an indepth understanding of them and their associated requirements
- Work closely with the Developers Producers and Project Managers to provide early testing and feedback about features helping in maintaining a smooth development process
- Perform testing accurately and thoroughly to detect bugs software flaws and/or design issues
- Own a project area and ensure that all the checks are properly executed
- Create and execute test cases based on design documents
- Report the test results provide regular updates and escalate concerns to relevant stakeholders
- Ensure the quality of testing deliverables
We are looking for you to have:
- Over 3 years of experience in Development QA roles
- Strong passion for video games
- Technically proficient with a deep understanding of technology
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen ability to identify and solve problems
- Capable of providing detailed and constructive feedback on games
- Professional attitude and a track record of being proactive selfdriven meticulous and curious in nature
- Advanced knowledge of QA processes and methodologies
- Handson experience with test case management defect tracking and reporting tools (TestRail Xray Grafana JIRA Confluence)
- Familiarity with the full test cycle of commercial game projects from alpha through beta launch and maintenance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
In addition ideally you might also have:
- Experience with Unreal Engine Perforce and Visual Studio
- A technical background and experience with C SQL and/or Python
- Advanced knowledge of SDLC
- Experience with playing Survival games and RPGs (Conan Exiles ARK Rust 7Days etc.)
