Now were on the lookout for a SeniorArt Directionto join our Creative and Innovation team. Client Services.
On a daytoday youll be responsible for theconception and creation of ontrend and highly shareable social content and ideas that drives engagement and connection with the brands community. Including stills and GIFs content creation and also having an experience in motion / animation.
Build Social Brand Guidelines for our clients using their existing brand guidelines and translating them into socialfirst guidance for our own content creation team as well as the clients teams while always looking to improve a brands social firstapproach in a visual capacity.
Capitalizing on realtime cultural opportunities from our social media management teams by turning them into socialfirst content for named brands.
Supporting your design recommendations through strong presentation and communication skills.
Maintaining social fluency understanding social trends and nuances as they emerge and being always switched on to new design and creative ideas for the brands we have at the agency.
Stay current with social platforms trends capabilities and offerings (including TikTok Instagram YouTube Pinterest Facebook.)
Save all final content assets onto the Social Element server for easy access for anyone within the agency.
Lead on design for internal and external facing decks case study decks pitch decks in a conceptual branding and design capacity.
When needed manage the creation of case study decks and videos with the support of motion/ animation experts/ freelancers.
Ensure that DE&I is baked into everything we do and champion this within creativity in the agency and also within the agencys creative output
Working collaboratively with strategy PM creatives & SMM to concept content for brands while also being the visual lead on look & feel and design.
You are a Senior Art Director with at least 5 years experience in the advertising and design industry. You sit in the Creative & Innovation Department of Social Element comfortably fulfilling a role across both Creative and Design: concepting solo and collaboratively and often taking those concepts into design for client output. You will also help shape our output as a Social Element brand and build our movement to Make Social Better.
You have strong graphic design skills while also being strong in conception with a multitude of other skills under your belt to bring to the agency; including product photography artworking strong leadership creative production and campaign conception. You work under the creative leadership of the Creative & Innovation Director.
Craft and attention to detail is important to you but you can equally dial up or down high level craft or mobilefirst lowfi designs depending on the client and campaign. You think outside the box when it comes to concepting creating and delivering sociallynative content and campaigns for a variety of clients and driving engagement with a brands community.
You are comfortable ideating and creating for mobile and digital screen as much as you are designing for print when needed. We might work in social media but our purpose is to help brands socialize and that will include activations both URL and IRL. This means also working across concept art direction and design for new and existing brand campaigns and being able to use a brands guidelines and agency strategy input to ideate and deliver 360 / full socialfirst campaigns.
Youre an ideas person who is able to collaborate with other departments to create eyepopping thumbstopping visuals on behalf of a brand and also for Social Element. Your proactive nature means that you have a lot to bring to the table and are always looking for ways to introduce new concepts and ideas including self initiated projects and new lines of business.
You will coreport into the Creative & Innovation Director and the VP Of Project Management and work crossfunctionally alongside social creatives project managers content creators account directors and social media managers.
Lead and manage the visual direction of projects from concept through to completion ensuring alignment with brand and project goals.
Ideate and strategize creative concepts that resonate with target audiences blending innovation with practical execution.
Design and create highquality visual assets for various media ensuring consistency across all channels.
You are comfortable in Adobe Creative Cloud and understand the ins and outs of creative tools to enhance creative outputs including still images gifs graphics and content creation.
An ideas person able to look at the big picture but also see the small details and always be solution oriented.
Can work with some levels of ambiguity while always having your own solutions and ideas to overcome missing informations & issues.
A thorough understanding of the evolving social media landscape with a continuous thirst to learn more.
A joyful collaborator and solution orientated person with a positive & forward thinking outlook.
Ability to set clear objectives timelines and deadlines for own work while also knowing how to be a balanced project lead and know when its appropriate to push deadlines in order to avoid the work suffering.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications.
Preferred skills in Canva Capcut and other mobile editing tools when needed.
Optional skills in AI image generation (Firefly) and strong content creation abilities in the form of lowfi (UGC style/ staged reality) and high quality product photography.
A strong drive and dedication to contribute to our clients brand the agency and the work as if they were your own company.
Brings vast experience of international markets with experience working with brands across North America.
