Job Description
Main Responsibilities:
- Implement and enforce workplace safety policies procedures and regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors.
- Investigate workplace accidents incidents and near misses preparing detailed reports and corrective action plans.
- Ensure all workers are equipped with proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain safety documentation including risk assessments audits and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with project managers supervisors and employees to promote a culture of safety.
- Conduct emergency response drills and ensure all personnel are aware of evacuation procedures.
- Monitor compliance with local and international safety standards such as OSHA NEBOSH and ISO 45001.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities to ensure workplace safety regulations are met.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Engineering or a related field.
- 35 years of experience in safety management preferably in construction oil & gas or industrial sectors.
- NEBOSH IOSH or OSHA certification is mandatory.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of health safety and environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.
- Excellent reportwriting and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to enforce safety protocols.
- Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.
- Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and enforce compliance.
