Job Description

We are looking to recruit our new EMEA Transportation Operations Manager!

The main purpose of this role is to manage Inbound and Outbound transportation shipments execution in EMEA from Suppliers to final Customers as well as to control monitor and coordinate local stakeholders (carriers and distribution centers) in alignment with Amer sports Service Level Agreements.

 

Manage Inbound transport operations and quality of service:

  • Oversee and actively manage Inbound shipments (weekly basis)
  • Ensure accurate Shipment tracking/reporting
  • Manage the inbound shipments and coordinate with local carriers for accurate arrival times
  • Collaborate with DCs and ensure as planned shipment execution
  • Monitor and improve service agreements and leadtimes and audit them based on SLAs
  • Manage the escalation process for service failures to ensure corrective actions are in place

Manage Outbound transport operations and quality of service:

  • Collaborate with DCs and Omnichannel sales teams (weekly basis)
  • Monitor and improve service agreements and leadtimes
  • Contribute to Outbound transportation projects in close relationship with all internal/external stakeholders (DC customs IT )
  • Support carriers performance evaluation based on our service framework in terms of reliability quality cost
  • Introduce service/quality criteria defined by the management and audit them based on SLAs
  • Manage all kind of escalations coming from carriers internal customers or departments in resolving issues and provide solutions

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate will have minimum 3 years of professional experience in logistics / transport and hold a University degree in transport / logistics / supply chain or equivalent.

Technical skills:

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Distribution chain
  • Knowledge of Transportation modes (Sea Air Road freight)
  • Fluent in English verbal and in writing
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office TMS (Transportation Management System) SAP TM is a plus
  • Knowledge of Incoterms and Customs processes
  • Knowledge in process management

Additional Information :

Permanent fulltime position.

Can be based in either Annecy (France) Altenmarkt (Austria) or berherrn (Germany).
