Job Description
Summary
We are seeking an experienced AWS Solutions Architect to design and implement a robust scalable and highperformance cloud architecture for our financial reporting application. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS services data processing and containerized applications and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable secure and highperformance AWS cloud infrastructure complying with Natwest standards.
Review AWS Infrastructure components design & usage and implement enhancements.
Design and implement an ETL (Extract Transform Load) engine using AWS EMR (Elastic MapReduce) for efficient data processing.
Design review and Implement reporting solutions integrating Tableau with AWS services for seamless data visualization.
Design and implement containerized UI applications (Front end & back end) with microservices Architecture on Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).
Experience in Infrastructure as code scripting (Python/Bash) Helm charts Docker Kubernetes
Experience is reviewing and implementing cloud security best practices.
Integrate and optimize supporting AWS services to create a cohesive performant application ecosystem.
Ensure the overall architecture meets performance scalability and security requirements.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team throughout the project lifecycle.
Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to the architecture to enhance performance and reduce costs.
Automate deployment processes and workflows using tools like Terraform Ansible and Jenkins.
Monitor and optimize system performance ensuring high availability and reliability.
Develop and enforce best practices for security compliance and cost management in cloud environments.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines Devops tools and practices to improve software delivery.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructurerelated issues providing technical support and guidance.
Qualifications :
Essential criteria:
- 1015 years of experience
Experienced AWS architect who can bring best practices and expertise to design AWS infrastructure for the project.
Experience with AWS services like S3 Data Lakes Glue Athena Airflow (MWAA) EMR IAM Data Pipelines Lambda QuickSight Redshift Fargate.
Deep understanding of AWS services especially EMR EKS and datarelated services (e.g. S3 RDS Postgres etc)
Experience with big data processing and ETL workflows
Familiarity with Tableau or similar BI tools and their integration with cloud platforms
Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes)
Experience with infrastructureascode tools (e.g. CloudFormation Terraform)
Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments
Should be able to support with defining CI/CD patterns for application code for all the various components on EMRs EKS complying to Natwest standards.

Banking domain experience will be an added advantage.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
Experience with financial reporting systems or similar dataintensive applications
