Job Description

Job Title: Medical Malpractice / Personal Injury Legal Administrative Assistant
Location: Alexandria VA
Duration: Fulltime Permanent
Pay Range: As per Exp.

Job Description

The Legal Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to attorneys and the legal team in the Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury Department ensuring the smooth operation of the office. This role requires exceptional organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys with case management including organizing case files and maintaining uptodate records.

  • Manage office operations including scheduling calendaring and coordinating meetings.

  • Prepare and format legal documents correspondence and pleadings.

  • File legal documents with courts and other relevant agencies ensuring compliance with filing deadlines and procedures.

  • Maintain and update case management software (FileVine experience a plus).

  • Communicate professionally with clients opposing counsel and court personnel.

  • Perform administrative tasks such as data entry scanning and document management.

  • Support attorneys in trial preparation and case research as needed.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a legal administrative or similar role.

  • Proficiency with case management software (FileVine experience preferred).

  • Knowledge of legal terminology court filing procedures and document management.

  • Excellent organizational communication and timemanagement skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
