Job Description
Preferred Skills:
- Desire and determination to succeed
- Bachelors degree or combination of education and years of experience
- The ability to proficiently provide estimates & estimating services
- Experience with conceptual and schematic design budgeting
- Computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook; knowledge of OnScreen Takeoff preferred
- Knowledge of construction processes and terminology
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Excellent math skills
- Strong organizational prioritization and time management skills
- Ability to fully understand plans and specifications
- Excellent communication skills; both internal and external
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced teamwork environment
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a commercial construction estimator
Job Duties:
- Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects is required
- Review create submit quality estimates with detailed proposals
- Prepare high level quantity and manpower takeoffs
- Prospect and procure new opportunities for bid
- Comprehensively analyze plans specifications proposals and additional documentation to prepare bid estimates for projects
- Attend site visits prebid meetings jobsite walkthroughs bids and coordination meetings
- Must maintain an extremely professional working relationship with clients subcontractors and peers
- Other duties as assigned
