Job Description
We are looking for a senior electrical engineering technician to join our dynamic team. The Operational and Digital Technologies team provides services for CIMAs various business sectors: transportation building infrastructure and energy. You will participate in the various stages required to complete engineering projects in different design fields including: Intelligent Transportation Systems wired and wireless telecommunications structured cabling networking IT infrastructure video surveillance access and intrusion control. The mentoring and resources at your disposal will enable you to complete your projects to CIMAs own high standards of excellence.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work closely with engineers on largescale projects
- Carry out field surveys to gain a thorough understanding of existing issues before implementing recommended measures.
- Ensure that drawings produced meet project requirements according to established practices and standards
- Studying problems and proposing solutions
- Monitor various electrical engineering projects
- Prepare quantity and cost estimates according to established methods
- Participate in the production of plans and specifications process and analyze data
- Apply quality control procedures
Qualifications :
- College diploma with specialization in electrical engineering
- Relevant experience in electrical engineering telecommunications or a crossdisciplinary field
- Good knowledge of the Qubec Electrical Code
- Ability to design and prepare cost estimates specifications and technical reports
- Excellent planning oral and written interpersonal communication skills (French)
- Proficiency in MS Office suite software
- Construction site safety card (ASP)
- Knowledge of intelligent transport systems wireless building and electrotechnical equipment (an asset)
- Experience in consulting engineering (an asset)
