Job Description
We are looking for an experienced IT LIMS Technical Expert to join our Corporate IT organization becoming a key player in our IT Delivery team for Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) utilizing the latest in G6 technology. Youll have the opportunity to work on cuttingedge applications and deliver highquality reliable solutions within a dynamic global environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop & Innovate: Play a pivotal role in implementing and enhancing our LIMS solutions based on JEE technologies developing new features and maintaining existing applications.
- Optimize Performance: Take charge of reviewing optimizing and finetuning SQL queries and Crystal Reports templates to deliver toptier performance.
- 3rd Level Support: Provide expertlevel 3rd level application support to resolve complex issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Deliver Excellence: Ensure the successful implementation of LIMS development tasks on time and within quality standards.
What You Will Do:
- Design & Develop: Translate both business and IT specifications into efficient maintainable Java code and detailed designs conducting unit and system testing to ensure the highest quality.
- Optimize Code & Performance: Implement best practices document your work thoroughly and optimize performance to ensure scalability and efficiency.
- Data Modeling & Reporting: Design and maintain the data model create optimized views SQL statements and deliver highquality Crystal Reports that meet business needs.
- Collaborate & Support: Work with a global team to provide 3rd level support and collaborate on ongoing developments to troubleshoot and improve the application.
- Adhere to Best Practices: Ensure all work aligns with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct at every stage.
Qualifications :
We are looking for someone who brings passion for technology expertise in development and a collaborative approach to problemsolving:
Essential Qualifications:
- Graduate level studies or equivalent in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Java and Crystal Reports development.
- Proficient in XML (SOAP Web services XSD) and Java patterns.
- Extensive experience with Relational Databases SQL and Oracle PL/SQL.
- A strong understanding of development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working with LIMS and G6 technology.
- Familiarity with GIT JBoss and J2EE framework.
- Knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management.
- Prior experience working in international teams.
Required Skills & Attributes:
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive solutionoriented approach.
- Analytical mindset able to independently solve complex problems.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality and performance.
- Fluent in English (both verbal and written).
