JOB TITLE: Document Control Clerk
Job ResponsibilitiesFunctions to Accomplish
Open and sort all mail received.
Review claims for required data fields.
Sort and batch medical claims into proper claim types
Scan claims using the corresponding batch numbers assigned to each claim type.
Prepare Return to Provider (RTP) forms as necessary when required claim information is missing or is invalid.
Sort and scan timely filing appeals.
Work on any keying errors previously identified that need to be corrected by pulling the paper batches and rescan the claims.
Compile information into spreadsheets
Maintain appropriate document control procedure documentation
Oversee mailroom supply inventory
Serve as a backup for the courier
Access specific files when requested by different departments as well as control the flow of documents in and out of the department.

Necessary Skills To Meet Minimum Requirements
Attention to detail
Ability to multitask
Highly organized
Knowledge of the Julian calendar
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Oral and written communication skills.
