Job Description
The Industrial Structure Intern will be working in the CIMA St. Johns office reporting to the Team Lead/Manager for Technologists. The approximate duration for this work placement will be 4 months.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in using AutoCAD and AutoCAD platformbased software in Civil/Structural design structural steel reinforced concrete equipment anchoring etc) for heavy industrial sites
- Read and interpret design drawings of existing conditions to use in the development of new structural design for the related areas
- Use and navigate 3D point clouds using Navisworks to view and measure the existing conditions of where the new design is required
- Complete markups from pdfs (Bluebeam) for senior designers and engineers.
Qualifications :
- Student presently enrolled in 3year Diploma program for Civil Engineering Technology
- Available to work a 40hour work week
The salary for this position ranges from $20.00 to $23.00 per hour depending on your academic profile the number of credits earned and your previous coop or internship experience. The final offer and salary may be adjusted based on your unique profile.
