Job Description

We are seeking a professional and decisive Night Duty Manager to join our team at Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations during night shifts ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining the highest standards of service and safety.

  • Manage and supervise all night shift staff including front desk housekeeping and security personnel
  • Be the point of contact for any emergency incidents and act as the overall in charge in the absence of senior leadership during the night shift in the resort.
  • Ensure smooth checkins checkouts and address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and efficiently
  • Monitor and maintain hotel security safety protocols and emergency procedures
  • Handle and resolve guest complaints and escalated issues professionally and effectively
  • Oversee night audit processes and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction
  • Conduct regular inspections of public areas and guest rooms to maintain quality standards
  • Manage inventory and supplies for night shift operations
  • Train and mentor night shift staff to improve performance and maintain service standards
  • Prepare detailed shift reports and communicate important information to day shift management

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience of 35 years in hotel management or related field with a focus on night shift operations
  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and staff effectively
  • Advanced problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities especially in highpressure situations
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and systems
  • Exceptional time management and multitasking capabilities
  • Indepth knowledge of hotel operations procedures and industry best practices
  • Thorough understanding of safety and security protocols in a hotel environment
  • Familiarity with local regulations and compliance requirements in the hospitality industry
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Flexibility to work night shifts weekends and holidays as required
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
