What you will be doing: Coding Manager Health Information Management (HIM) (In patient only)
- Join our tightknit HIM team and manage the activities and operations of assigned areas of responsibility.
- Manage assigned areas to promote effective and efficient operations.
- Establish policies and procedures and ensure practices are consistent with regulatory agencies.
- Review recommend and implement changes to departmental programs and projects.
- Participate on hospital teams and committees related to HIM and clinical information systems as required.
Experience you will need: Coding Manager Health Information Management (HIM) (In patient only)
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
- Demonstrated knowledge of Health Information Management functions policies and practices in an electronic environment for inpatient coding.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications such as Windows Microsoft Office etc.
- Knowledge of hospital information systems
- High degree of analytical ability
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s degree Preferred
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) through the American Health Information Management Association or equivalent Preferred
