Fulltime 37.5 hours per week/Parttime(Minimum 30 Hours per week) Permanent Position
Responsibilities
- Committed to maintaining a high level of patient care always.
- Responsible for the safe treatment of patients from initial consultation to preassessment and discharge in collaboration with consultants nursing staff and all other health care professionals and support services.
- Be in charge of the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of ophthalmology patients using medical assessments and technical diagnostics to evaluate their needs.
- Work in an ophthalmology clinic performing preliminary eye exams and aiding with minor procedures.
Requirements
- Registration in the General Division of the live register of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- 12 months recent acute hospital experience including prior experience in ophthalmology.
- Ability to operate both individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Dedicated to continual professional development.
- Strong clinical and communication abilities.
- A flexible and optimistic attitude towards doing a variety of duties to suit the needs of the service.
