Job Description
Job Title: Senior Accountant Ecommerce
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage and oversee all financial transactions reporting and compliance requirements within our fastgrowing ecommerce business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting strategic financial planning. They will work closely with crossfunctional teams to enhance financial efficiency and contribute to business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reporting:
- Manage daytoday accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable general ledger and reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate financial statements balance sheets and profit & loss reports.
- Ensure timely monthend and yearend closing processes.

Taxation & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations including GST TDS and other statutory requirements.
- Prepare and file tax returns ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities for audits and compliance checks.

Budgeting & Financial Analysis:
- Assist in budgeting forecasting and financial planning.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to support decisionmaking.
- Monitor cash flow and maintain optimal working capital levels.

Inventory & Cost Management:
- Oversee inventory management including cost allocation and valuation.
- Ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions and adjustments.

Ecommerce Financial Operations:
- Reconcile online sales transactions from multiple platforms (e.g. Amazon Shopify Flipkart).
- Manage payment gateways refunds discounts and chargebacks.
- Collaborate with the operations team to optimize financial efficiency.

Process Improvement & Automation:
- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency enhancements.
- Implement best practices in accounting and financial reporting.

Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor s/Master s degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- CA/CPA/CMA certification is preferred.
- 5 years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in the ecommerce industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards tax regulations and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Tally QuickBooks or ERP systems).
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial analysis tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ecommerce platforms and payment gateways.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent problemsolving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
