As a Citrix engineer in a financial services company your primary responsibility is to manage and maintain the daytoday operations of the companys Citrix Cloud and private cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure including users ticket resolution business requests and maintenance of the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the Citrix Cloud and AWS/Azure hosting infrastructure.
- Monitoring the health and performance of Citrix/AWS/Azure resources and services to detect and address any issues proactively.
- Maintaining images with application and client updates.
- Maintaining up to date DR infrastructure and procedures for critical desktops and applications.
- Working with other operational team to help troubleshoot issues impacting user experience.
- Balancing user experience and costs within the cloud.
- Collaborating with development and DevOps teams to optimize application performance and scalability.
- Providing support and guidance to the endusers regarding best practices for Citrix users.
- Keeping yourself certified and up to date with the latest Citrix technologies and features that may benefit the company.
Qualifications :
Degree or equivalent experience:
- Citrix Certified Associate Virtualization CCAV (required)
- Citrix Certified Associate Virtualization CCPV (required)
- Any Citrix ADC certification from ADC 13 onwards (desired)
- Any other Citrix certification (bonus)
- Azure Certification (desired)
- 3 years in a predominantly 2nd line Citrix role 3rd line a bonus
Functional/Technical Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Virtual Desktop
- Experience of Citrix Netscaler/Gateway
- Experience of Citrix WEM
- Knowledge of Office 365
- Knowledge of Azure AVD
- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Windows operating systems.
- Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools like Azure PowerShell.
- Understanding of networking concepts and handson experience with cloudbased networking and security.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such a Citrix Director/Monitor
- Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements in the financial services industry.
- Knowledge of windows server and desktop operating system
- Understanding of cloud platforms Azure and AWS (desired)
- Collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with crossfunctional teams and endusers.
