Job Description

The opportunity

The regional media manager will be a part of the DIGMA (global media digital marketing & analytics) team and will report directly to our manager of global media management. The media management team currently consists of four people who are in a reporting line to global head of DIGMA within brand & marketing.

This position is located in Gothenburg Sweden at headquarters of Polestar. We believe in a hybrid model when it comes to remote and onsite work knowing that both inperson collaboration and individual time to focus are needed. What matters most is that people get the time and support to do what needs to be done. And to enjoy doing it of course.


The responsibilities

As a regional media manager you oversee a region and you are in lead of a team of digital channel specialists and marketing analytics experts. Your role is to together with this team work towards the most efficient marketing activation and media mix. You will be the main contact towards our local head of marketing and our local media agencies.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Contribute to setting the global media strategy and securing implementation of this across the board
  • Inform and coordinate budgeting process annual and global campaigns new market launches & performance marketing
  • Media planning for global campaigns and support in developing overarching media/campaign plan including extensive media planning support for new markets
  • Daily contact with agency & markets facilitating the agency relationship and overseeing the SOW
  • Support and coordinate inhouse media activities together with selfreliant channel experts
  • Monitor & support local media activities securing everything is aligned with media foundation and set to meet overarching company KPIs as well as keeping internal stakeholders in the know of what is going on in the market
  • Crossdepartmental collaboration on numerous marketing projects subject matter expert when it comes to media execution
  • Advise and inform inhouse team other internal stakeholders and market campaign leaders on media best practices
  • Proficient user of our internal tools for media planning and reporting able to educate stakeholders on their use as well as responsible for pulling reports and verifying input as and when needed


The ideal candidate

In order to succeed in this role and at Polestar in general there are a few characteristics youll need to have. Tenacity. Flexibility. Curiosity. The ability to take the initiative to meet deadlines and requirements and to abandon ideas when theyre not feasible.

In addition youll need the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors and Masters degree in Marketing or equivalent
  • Skilled in media & marketing strategy and planning
  • Good knowledge of offline and online & performance media channels
  • Analytical mindset with experience from media and marketing testing such ascreative testing MMM incremental testing brand tracking etc.
  • A proven strong trackrecord of performing in a similar role with evident skillsmanaging and delivering enabled project.
  • Proven experience in buying media through media agencies
  • Experience from working in a global scope.
  • Experience from leading and coaching a specialist team
