Project Description
The goal of this activity is to provide support to governmentled education systems to strengthen these and incentivize greater ownership of and investment in the education sector by the Government of the Republic of South Sudan (GRSS) to help strengthen the social contract and build functioning education institutions to enable future development.
Position Description
The Operations and Logistics Lead will oversee the system for disbursing conditional cash transfers including subcontracting with State Anchors school grants and procurement for the project. They will manage an operations team ensuring their work aligns with donor and organizational policies and requirements.
This position is contingent upon award by the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) of the Government of the United Kingdom.
Qualifications :
Education:
A minimum of a masters degree in business administration management or any related discipline.
Skills and Experience:
- At least 10 years experience of managing operations on development programs particularly in fragile and conflict affected states.
- Strong track record of managing/supervising operations staff on international development projects of similar complexity and scale.
- Proven record of experience in managing subcontracts grants and procurement on FCDOfunded projects.
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
Language:
Fluency in oral and written English is required.
