Position: Senior Cloud Security Architect
Location: Atlanta GA (30334)
Client: State of Georgia
Duration: 12 Months
Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Security Architect to design and implement secure AWS cloud infrastructures. This role will focus on driving security best practices and ensuring compliance in a dynamic environment while collaborating with engineering operations and DevOps teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain secure AWS architectures with best practices for identity management data encryption and network security.
- Lead the development of security strategies and provide guidance on securityrelated matters.
- Conduct cloud security risk and vulnerability assessments proposing effective mitigation strategies.
- Implement incident response plans and lead postincident remediation efforts.
- Mentor technical teams on AWS security best practices and promote a securityfirst culture.
Technical Skills Required:
- 15 years of IT security experience with 10 years securing AWS environments.
- AWS Certified Security Specialty and other relevant security certifications (CISSP CISM).
- Expertise in AWS security tools (AWS Shield AWS WAF etc.) and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Terraform AWS CloudFormation) and scripting languages (Python Bash).
- Knowledge of containerization and serverless architectures (Docker Kubernetes AWS Lambda).
